Affordable Counseling with Master’s Level Interns
We believe quality mental health care should be accessible regardless of whether you have insurance or not. We offer affordable counseling services across Colorado through our master’s-level therapy interns, providing professional, evidence-based care at a reduced cost. Interns are completing their required education to become licensed therapists and receive weekly supervision from a fully-licensed counseling supervisor to ensure high quality of care to clients. Intern services are ideal for individuals seeking meaningful support without the financial burden of traditional therapy rates.
High-Quality, Low-Cost Therapy in Colorado
Interns provide in-person and online counseling to teens and adults located in Colorado. Interns are enrolled in a master’s level program and receive weekly supervision from a licensed counseling supervisor, along with additional supervision from their university professors. Every intern has completed courses in ethics, counseling skills, and counseling theories prior to seeing clients. Interns are held to the same ethical and professional standards as licensed professional counselors.
Interns can accept CHP+ and Medicaid insurance, at zero cost to the client. For all other clients, intern rates are $65 per session (individual or couple).

We have two, convenient office locations in Buena Vista and Salida, Colorado. Please see the intern’s bio below to know which locations they serve. All interns are available for online sessions as well.

Rebecca West
Rebecca is available to see clients either in Salida or remotely. She is currently completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University.
She earned her International Baccalaureate from The Royal High School in Bath, England—the alma mater of The Princess of Wales’s private secretary, Rebecca English—and later returned to the U.S. to earn her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
During the pandemic, Rebecca trained as a Certified Nursing Assistant and went on to work for Vail Health Hospital in both the Family Birth Center and Patient Care Unit, where she was nominated for the prestigious Elevate Award for exceptional care.
Her dedication to end-of-life and caregiver support led her to become Director of Services for Caregiver Connections. In 2023, she founded The Invisible Crowd, to support both professional and family caregivers. The Invisible Crowd helped create the Vail Health Employee Wellness initiative and has since partnered with multiple non-profits including Aspen Compassion, Speak Up Reach Out and Eagle County Healthy Aging.
Rebecca’s professional interests include medical trauma, chronic illness, grief, postpartum transitions, end of life and elder care. She brings warmth, compassion, and clinical insight to clients navigating these complex life experiences.

Mick Lindquist
Mick is available to see clients in Buena Vista, Salida, or remotely. He is currently enrolled at Adams State University, pursuing his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. After spending much of his professional life in the construction industry, he felt called to shift his career toward something that allowed him to help others in a deeper, more meaningful way.
His own positive experiences in both individual and group therapy inspired him to become a counselor and help others experience the growth and healing he experienced firsthand. He brings warmth, empathy, and a genuine respect for each client’s journey into every session. His hope is that his personal experience and ability to connect with others will help clients feel safe, supported, and understood as they work toward their goals. Mick specializes in Christian Counseling, helping clients integrate their faith into healing, growth, and emotional wellness. When he’s not counseling, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, their two young boys, and their Golden Retriever, Chuck, exploring the beauty of the Rockies together.
