Nastya May, a therapist in at High Rockies Counseling in Colorado smiles for the camera in front of a wooden planked wall

Nastya May, LPCC

Nastya May is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in Colorado. With a background in education and a deep compassion for helping others, Nastya brings valuable experience into her work with adolescents and adults navigating challenges like depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and body image concerns.

Nastya meets each client with authenticity, respect, warmth, and empathy. Nastya uses techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and feminist therapy—especially when supporting individuals impacted by abuse, trauma, or societal pressures. She believes in helping clients externalize their struggles, recognizing that current difficulties often reflect what has happened to them, not what’s wrong with them.

Nastya supports individuals’ healing journeys by facilitating a safe space in which they can understand more about who they are, what they value most, and learn how to overcome challenges.

When she's not in session, Nastya enjoys hiking Colorado’s Rainbow Trail with her two dogs (and sometimes her cat, too!), gardening, practicing yoga, and getting lost in a good mystery audiobook
